Frequently Asked Questions
What is RTT?
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a pioneering hypnotherapy developed by Marisa Peer. RTT is a standalone therapy, which combines the best of psychotherapy, hypnosis, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). RTT has the ability to transform your life rapidly and permanently.
Who is Marisa peer?
Named ‘Britain’s Best Therapist’, Marisa has spent over three decades treating a client list that includes international superstars, CEOs, Royalty, and Olympic athletes. Her pioneering RTT has helped thousands of people to overcome profound personal issues permanently.
What will RTT feel like?
Hypnotherapy is where you go into a deep state of relaxation, where your conscious and active mind rests and allows your subconscious to be accessed. You are suggestible in this state of relaxation and this suggestibility is what we use to change the pictures and meanings that you have attributed to certain events in your life. Sometimes the memories you have have been locked away for a long time and you will remember things that you have previously forgotten. Clients experience a deep feeling of relaxation and often describe feeling refreshed and energised after hypnosis. Sometimes they feel a little sleepy and blissful afterwards. Some memories that we access are relating to sad or traumatic events, but it is important to know that you are not re-living those events, only reviewing them so that you can understand what is the root cause of the current difficulty experienced. By understanding them, we can address and change the meaning that you have attached to the event.
How does RTT work?
RTT® aims to deliver permanent change in 1 to 3 sessions. By using a technique called Role Function, Purpose, it recognises and values the significance clients attach to their issues/problems and then offers a powerful emotional release for them. They can actually be free from pain.
What if I already know the reasons for my issues?
While our conscious minds do sometimes know what the issues stem from, they are not always able to access what is stored, or locked into our subconscious mind, and it’s only in a state of hypnosis that these can be addressed, and re-programmed.
Will it bring back unwanted memories?
Everything that has ever happened to you is stored in your subconscious or your conscious memory, and hypnosis is a way to look at them, and to take away any power that they have over your behaviour now. It can be that you look at memories of events that you haven’t accessed for a long time, or that you have suppressed, and they are now controlling or influencing your life in a negative way. The hypnosis enables you to deal safely and effectively with these and turn them into a source of great power and strength, so that they no longer control your life and you are free of them.
When will I start feeling a difference?
Some people notice a difference immediately, others it takes time to notice. You are given an audio recording of the hypnosis to listen to as often as you wish, recommended to be at least once a day for 21 days.
How long is an RTT session?
The session is usually 90 minutes.
